A good starting point to change your iPod skin is to buy an iPod! You already own one? Good! Keep on reading below. You haven't an iPod yet? What about to buy one using the banner in our site to the Apple Store!? This will help us to continue doing free skins for you. First of all, to dowload hi-res skins you must register to SkinPod...it's free! ;-) | | Register to Skinpod from "registration" here to the left and wait our instant-mail to confirm your username and password. Then choose your favorite skin from all we offer, but be sure that it's made for your iPod model. |
 | Choose the biggest resolution (from the dropdown menu on top of the skin) and then save your skin (with Right-Click "Save image as" - Windows OR Ctrl+click "Save image on Desktop" - Macintosh)
 | | Once you've saved it on your computer, open that file with your favorite program (Photoshop, Picasa, Preview ecc ecc) |
 | | Insert a blank adhesive paper in your printer. |
 | | Start the print of the file (usually in the menu "file" > "print") printing it at his original size (don't use resize of "fit to page" feature). |
 | | Once you've printed your skin we strongly suggest you to fix the colors (for example with a spray to fix pencils or pastels - you can find it in colorists shop). |
 | Dry the color-fixer and cut the skin the best you can. Keep an eye on curved steps! ;-)
 | | Clean carefully your iPod with specific products, by a micro-fiber tissue or a simple cotton ribbon. |
 | | Remove the back of the adhesive paper and apply as best as you can the skin on your iPod. This is the hardest part of the game! :-)) |
